This exhibit provides a window into the creative spirit of Barbara Denyer, an extraordinary and unique woman. A long-time Irvington resident, Barbara was an original and, at times, controversial artist, who was always an enthusiastic contributor to Village culture and history. View her artistic works, her creative tools, and the many elements reflecting her unfinished works. These are accompanied by photographs from her home on Dows Lane of additional creations both provocative and whimsical. The Irvington Historical Society is grateful for the beautiful heirloom costumes she donated to our archives, several of which are on display.
This exhibit at the Irvington History Center, 131 Main Street, is open on Thursdays and Saturdays 1- 4 pm through the winter months. (closes Feb 24)
