The Irvington Historical Society is looking for volunteer docents to help keep the McVickar House at 131 Main Street open twice a week.

The House is open Thursdays and Saturdays from 1PM to 4PM and docents primarily open and close the building, turn on the lights, put out the flags, and greet any visitors. Training beforehand is minimal. We are looking for people who are cheerful, positive, and interested in Irvington’s remarkable history. There is no entrance exam 🙂
